The Lone Ranger and Tonto are riding through one of the many canyons when suddenly rising from the hill on their right are hundreds of indians.
They start to spur their horse forward when they realised that there are hundreds of indians ahead of them.
Wheeling to the left they, once again, see hundreds of indians rising from the hill.
They begin to back away in the direction from which they had come and they realise, they were surrounded.
The indians had spread out. They were trapped.
The Lone Ranger turns to Tonto, his life long friend, and says "Tonto, my friend, I think I must say that I have treasured our times together but now I think we are doomed".
"We ?" replied Tonto "What's all this 'We', Paleface?"

Before the Spanish conquisadors arrived in North America the horse was unknown to native tribes but many of the tribes rounded up stay horses,tamed them learned to ride them.
This animal, new to the New World completely transformed the way of life of many tribes.
They found the horse useful for traveling great distances which helped them in hunting, battle and transportation of possessions.
One tribe though, the Miwok did not see the horse as a beast worthy of riding but more as a food item, specially as buffalo was becoming scarce.
Some tribes would travel to and from the new towns of the settlers to trade and barter.
It was documented that a cowboy was riding out of Dodge city when he saw a tribal elder sitting by the roadside. feeling a bit sorry for the old fellow, the cowboy offered the Indian a ride on the back of his horse, to which the Indian replied.......No thanks Miwok.

A representative from India began:
“Before beginning my speech I want to tell you a very very old story about Rishi Kashyap of Kashmir, after whom Kashmir is named.
When he found a beautiful lake, he thought-“What a good opportunity to have a bath”,
He removed his clothes, put them aside on the rock and entered the water.
When he got out and wanted to dress, his clothes had vanished.
A Pakistani had stolen them!
The Pakistani representative in Assembly jumped up furiously n shouted:
what the hell are talking about? The Pakistanis weren’t there then.
Indian representative smiled and said,
“And now that we have made that clear, I’ll begin my speech.
“And they say Kashmir belongs to them.....”
