Hotel Antics...
5 Answers
I went to a swanky hotel in downtown Boston.
As I waited for some friends to join me in the large spacious lobby area, a group of chess players entered the area and started having a heated discussion about a recent chess tournament at the hotel, words like " that guy just wasn't in my league" and " he was way below my standards" and "he took two hours to make a move and he blew it" could be heard above the guests and visitors, coming in and out of the reception area.
The hotel manager appeared and tried to bring some semblance of order to the situation.
He ushered the chess players into an adjacent lounge and returned to the lobby area seconds later and was heard to mutter, "I just can't stand chess nuts boasting in an open foyer"
