idiot - everyone knows it's 33

Well he's walking away with £10k, and he acknowledged (when he guessed answers correctly) how lucky he was, so who's laughing now? ☺
How ice it is to feel smug, such a lovely warm feeling.

I can think of many people I know of various ages and levels of education who for one reason and another do not know what a score is.

Yes it is "ice" Eccles - not being smug at all. Glad he 'scored' in the end and won 10k - everyone needs a bit of luck now and again.
Maybe he was thinking of slang for money and got it wrong. A score is £20 - a ton is £100.
Some young people also don't know what a dozen is, as I found out recently.
^True.
I don't think they teach score, dozen and gross anymore. The words only tend to come up in quizzes!
Who asks for 6/12 eggs? Always half dozen/dozen.
Is this thread going to go on furlong time?
Not as long as a chain letter

Nothing to do with 12 in French, ag?
Oh dear. Bet that was one of those jokes I don't get. And now I've made a fool of myself. (for the first time)
Svejk lol! If you don't believe me check!
I doubt my kids know what a score is. Besides taking bets in the pub I don't think I've ever heard it used. We call £20 'a drink'
Expensive drinks you sell, ummmm
A few drinks :-)
