Why Is It
1 Answers
I was thinking back to when I was a kid, and all the questions I used to ask my dad, he would do his best to answer them.
I remember on a fishing trip, he took me on one early morning, just as the sun was rising, a bunch of Canadian geese, flew in front of us, as we paddled our canoe across a lake.
Dad, I said, "why do those geese fly in a V formation like that" him being an old air force man, was quick to answer and said son "it's all to do with aerodynamics, the stronger birds take the lead, and fly in the front, while the weaker birds fly in the strip stream of the ones in front, so its all about teamwork and helping each other out" (told in much detail)
My next question was: " So why is one side of the V usually longer than the other?"
Ah, he said, "that's another question", to cut to the chase, I said "I think I know the answer"
"Okay, son, what is it?" (me)-Could it be, because there are more geese on one side than there is on the other ?"
