You probably know the answer to the 'black box' question - they can make a plane out of the same material as the 'black box' recorder - but they would have to take its wings off and send it down the road because it would be too heavy to fly - the metal used is extremely dense, to protect the delicate flight recorder technology it contains.

Oh, and it's not black, it's orange, so they can find it easily in wreckage.

andy-hughes; yes I did know that it would be too heavy to fly, I just thought it would be funny. I did leave out the one about periodic table codes having letters that arent even in the name because most people know that its because of the latin. Whether its orange or purple with green spotty bits, I thought that that's what 'black boxes' were called. Sorry if I have annoyed you, but it was meant to be funny.
