Can anyone reccomend a powerful, light hand held hoover. I am moving to a town house (from a poky flat) and want to use it on stairs etc. when I don't have time to get big one and it's attachments out. I also have a cat and a small dog (though dog doesn't really moult)

Many thanks, Kazza

I have a Miele cylinder vacuum and cannot recommend it highly enough. Cylinders are very light as all you are pushing is the head and all the attachments are in the lid of the vacuum, all you have to do is whip off the head and stick on a different one. I don't have pets but I have heard that the cat and dog Miele is very good
