Replies to Jokes

Dear Aber's.

I am sure I am not alone in my annoyance at replies that say things like

Heard it before

Very old

Has been here before

Check 176 posts down.

Jokes are like songs and movies. Not everybody has heard them and they have (a rather nice habit) of returning time to time.

So what if you have heard it before?? Who cares?

So what if it has been posted before?? What are you trying to achieve by printing such a reply?

I spend a lot of time on line and on AB and I do not check every question, answer, thread or joke.

I also feel a sense of embarrassment when somebody posts a joke and his or her first reply is "Check on 2nd March 2004, it was said then!!!!!"

For God's sake get a life and try to welcome as many jokes as possible. Yes if the joke is literally one or two posts down I can understand your frustration, but such mistakes rarely happen.

Get a life and if a joke is repeated, so what?? So what if you have heard it before and so what if you think I am waffling!!!!!
