I'll do this here instead of on another thread that made me think of it. Does it annoy you when people use words in the wrong way or use the wrong word in a sentence?

For example, my boyfriend frequently says the word "went" instead of "gone". Like, "We could have went there". It reeealllly grates on me.

"It can go one way or the other"
"It is what it is"
"It either is or it isn't"
"I haven't done nothing"
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh to all of the above.
I hate it when people say 'i don't want none of those' instead of ' i don't want any of those'.

I wish I hadn't asked. All these additions are making me twitch with annoyance.
Oh Jason, you forgot - step up to the plate!
I have a friend who says "I've not got no money" which really grates on me. Two negatives make a plus which means she MUST have some money!
People who say 'aks' instead of 'ask.

People who pronounce 'h' as 'haytch' rather than 'aytch', and who then go on to litter their conversation with them even where they don't exist. For instance, my boss and I have a contact at HQ called Sunil - pronounced as written. The boss (an 'h-ophile') insists on calling him Sun Hill even though she knows it's wrong.
Ha ha Milly - I bet by the end of the night you'll be tearing your hair out with frustration at the silly things people say.
Maybe next time you should "think outside the box" so that we can all "sing from the same hymn sheet" ???? Arrghhh.
Chefs speak, such as; pan fried, oven roast. ..where do you fry or roast something! On the floor!
... The VERY latest news......The VERY first time...
People who say ' I could of' or ' I should of' instead of I could have or I should have
very annoying for an oldie like me

Carrust, my Dad would love you for saying those. He used to be a chef and just can't understand they way modern chefs describe things. How else are you going to fry something if not in a pan.
Is the Fan Belt slipping.
'I seen a really nice dress' Augghhh!
I agree with "Loik aka Like" - but I particularly hate the one word command, "Enjoy" when presented with food.
And I can't stand false folk, glorified pseuds, who try to bamboozle folk with pretentious language such as "Pretentious Cruciverbalist" as used by one ABer last night. Very moronic and reflects the sad person he is.
Lol at DTcrosswordfan. What kind of saddo would use a term like that. I too hate "chef talk". I also hate "my bad".
I hate adverts or marketing promotions which offer a 'free prize'. It wouldn't be great if you had to pay for your prize would it?

More chef speak; lets build the dish...are they brickies.Fry off, roast off, wish they'd eff off!
'Going forward' gets my goat.
