Quilt or Duvet

Not really a question more or a poll.I have always said quilt when referring to the padded white thing that keeps you warm on your bed but I know it varies.So quilt or duvet?
Also put if you are from the north south or the midlands :)

duvet
We call it a quilt. Duvet is too French. I'm from the Midlands so perhaps I should call it a Duvilt or a Quivet...? (;o)

Definitely a Continental Quilt; shortened to quilt, and I use a quilt cover. Am I the only one to use mine to sleep on as opposed to using it as a cover? or am I strange? The southernmost edge of the North, but definitely the North.
I would call it a duvet... In Scotland :-)
