The pen....
I think I know what 'the pen is mightier than the sword' means but could someone sort it out for me. Also..
Did you ever write in such a way that it spelt a 'rude' word and caused enormous hilarity to a bunch of 12 year olds in a boring Eng Lit lesson?

He used to stick random letters in capitals so that it spelt out rude words. We were p*ssing ourselves of course. Ah - the maturity of grammar school kids! You can't beat it!
The pen is mightier than the sword just means that words can have a huge influence. It's like the opposite of "sticks and stones". Proving that saying can usually be countered. Too many cooks, or many hands!?!
