Good Words Which Ought To Make A Comeback

Afternoon all,

I wondered if any of you had a good word for me?

By that I mean: what words do you believe aren't currently used quite enough or have been completely abandoned by our (or anyone else's) language?

It would be good if you could tell us what the word, or phrase, means as well (although it might be fun to try and guess actually!)

The Opposite - Words that should disappear from spoken English totally ... or be used correctly. These seem to be thrown into every interview, ever shown on TV and heard on the radio. Please let's seek to speak English, and not some derivation of Bieberism. Main culprits are: SO starting almost every topic : I THINK, also starts everything, if you don't think, you don't exist!: "YOU KNOW" - What don't I know? : ABSOLUTELY : is that a yes then, coupled with definitely : and the real Bieberism LIKE, thrown in every where as a guttural stop.

Whilst appreciating that languages are developing continuously, there are about 50% of these sillyisms in nearly every interviews heard. Also: GAY has been stolen from us. Let's speak English, not adopt every odd saying from out 'Country Cousins'. Bye / Hwyl Fawr.
