Phrases that have started getting on my nerves: "It's your round, Chris" "Time gentlemen, please" "This is a newsagent's shop, not a library - and make sure that you put it back on the top shelf" "If you do that again, I'll call security" ;-)
"probably"...is doing my head in.... every time I ask the OH a question, this is what he retorts.....I think I might end up doing something drastic. If you see me in court you'll know why :o(
In restaurants: "Is everything all right" (Why, what has the chef not told us?) This is only marginally better than "Nobody else has complained" (No doubt, but they haven't got this meal here)
Going back to the original question, JJ must watch too much afternoon telly if she is fed up with that phrase - they advertise during that desert aimed at the retired.
