What does struming mean?

It is strumming - like strumming a guitar.  She hears some one singing a song that sums up how she feels as if he was in her head and in her body.  But he does not see her.

 

She is not the first to have this happen, it is imortalised in a song but to her it is new raw and personal.

 

That is how I have always read this song.
