Really stuck on these proverbs for local quiz, have searched all my books, can anyone help please?

Sometimes that's doing things the hard way! Google can be a lot quicker ;-)

For example, simply googling 'HBIWTHB' quickly finds 'his bark is worse than his bite'.

Googling for 'ACHAAWH' finds that it was answered here on AB in 2009 as 'a cold hand and a warm heart'

Unfortunately, Google seems unable to help with the other but at least that's a start for you!
