I have just been speaking to my Aunty up in Stoke. When she answered the phone she said, 'Hello, tater pot. Are you alright?'
It makes me smile to think that she still thinks of me as a tater pot. Sometimes it's 'sugar plum.'
Please don't anyone ask me what a tater pot is. I'm sure it's not the saucepan used for boiling potatoes. :-)
What endearments do you receive from relatives/friends?
None, not even from OH. We don't even call each other dear, darling, sweetheart etc. Etc. My dad called me Pigeon when I was very little. Don't know why.
I have one young friend who calls everybody Hun. It makes me cringe!
One think I hate is being called dear or darling by younger people I don't know, like some nursing assistants in recent weeks. Call me by my name please!
