you when people say that you got ur cake and wanna eat it, or sumfin like that. why is this a bad thing, why have cake if you aint guna eat it?

It should be 'You can't have your cake and eat it too.'

When the cake is eaten, it is gone, you no longer have the cake.

A more modern phrase could be, "I want sex before marriage, and to be a virgin when I marry.'

All it means is you can have one or the other but not both.

it should really be the other way round - 'you can't eat your cake and have it' - which makes more sense; but it gets misquoted most of the time.
