What is the v-shaped sign called, you see above a 'c' and other letters in slavonic languages to show how they should be pronounced?

It's called a 'h��ek' (pronounced 'hatcheck') and typically 'soft' consonants in Slavic langauges all have one - z, s, c, r et cetera. For more info try here - http://www.locallingo.com/countries/czech_republic
