Nothing!
analysed logically: phrase 1-god does not exist so null phrase. ignore. phrase 2-the devil does not exist. null phrase. ignore phrase 3- suggestion:the moral high ground phrase 4- suggestion holds phrase 5- nutritive value of moral high ground low,. Moral high ground fulfils criteria.
NOTHING - do I get a free watch? :o)
I bet you don't know who Paul Harvey actually is, though... do you?
Why is it 'moral high ground' to say the poor have nothing? And if you eat nothing for long enough, you will die. Whether you believe in God or the Devil or not, most people take God as being 'great' and the Devil as being 'evil'.
somebody tell us who paul harvey actually is then!!
no, firefly, i was analysing the riddle. so the poor have the moral high ground. they obviously dont have nothing because then that wouldnt leave nothing for the destitute. I just get very irritated with this riddle. Its a blatant peice of patronising christian propaganda. "most" people do not assume anything at all about god as "most " people are buddhist, taken globally. or moslem, in which case they would not be so disrespectful, or hindu, in which case thir gods are so fallible the answer could be cholera to the first bit. Its the breathtaking, americanesque, assumption that the existence of god and the devil as set out in the christian tradition is a given that really makes me want to spit and does so every three weeks or so which is how often this is posted.
