Can't think of a word!

can anybody give me the word which means a "genius creation" - i just can't think of one and ingeniosity is obviously not a word =D
The sentence is as followes:

The igloo, a nomadic from of refuge, an _______ made from ................ and so on

I would say it's probably just "ingenious"
That's the most appropriate word & I think you'll find the dictionary definition fits the bill.

Sorry - blond moment! Just realised that although ingenious fits the description - it doesn't fit into the specific sentence provided! ooops sorry about that!

Hi - don't know if this is any use - I suppose it depends how important the document is that this sentence is part of ...

Although the word "originative" is 'technically' an adjective so shouldn't be used as a stand alone word, apparently it is now 'acceptable' (Grr ... modern times - or American influence!) to use "originative" in the manner you require.

I personally wouldn't use it - but as many other people do use it that way, then you may wish to go with it if you run out of options!

(The definition is -'having or characterised by the power of originating; creative' and it is defined as synonymous with visionary, genius etc).

the document isn't that important - the teachers marking it would probably not heard the fact that originative can be used not only as an adjective! thanks anyway piperall! x
