Am I the only one who gets annoyed when people say things like:
'at this moment in time' instead of 'at the moment'
'I, myself, personally' instead of 'personally'
'hence the reason' instead of 'hence'
etc, etc.
There are many more but these are the ones that particularly get to me.

It's particularly the ones that repeat the same thing more than once that I hate. I realise that it really doesn't matter, but ................... .

we have silly words that have become customary in our family such as armbow - elbow; mintmexer - cement mixer, mainly arising from children not managing to say words correctly so the mispronunciation has stuck. They probably really annoy other people, he he!
