Most of the candidates focused on ULEZ instead of saying what they would actually do.  In the leaflet dropped through the door, one candidate said she wanted happy neighbourhoods.  How's that going to work then?  Is she going to knock on everyone's door and tell them to be happy? Another one said she will banish Woke. Not sure how she will do that either. Susan...

I thought he'd win anyway so I`m not really surprised.

I'm sure you'll get over it (Whitehall??)

I'm actually delighted for Sadiq Khan.

Yes he was odds on according to the polls

stand again Sadiq Khan, thrice mayor of London...

This one was correctly predicted (as usual) by Gromit weeks ago. The Tories picked a rubbish candidate, or at any rate the Conservative Central Office ran a rubbish campaign

Yes she was awful and it makes you wonder at the state of the Tories that that was the best they could apparently do

I did read a story somewhere saying she'd been a councillor in ?Ealing and was highly regarded as efficient and compassionate. So it looks as if CCO decided to recast her as Demon Queen of the Anti-Woke. The ad confusing London and New York may have been their work; but when she signed up to an anti-Ulez Facegook group full of Islamophobia, that must have been her own idea.

Yep. Pretty much how I read it

I think when Sunak is moved out of Downing St .The removal van will not be Pickfords on this occasion. It will be "Right Move" lol.

Poor London.

Think the Tories need .....A bridge.... over troubled waters. Maybe they could Lay Boris down ..Preferably in that ditch he promised us.

"Count Binface’s promises of capping croissant prices at £1 and renaming London Bridge, Pheobe Waller-Bridge, weren’t enough to sway the capital’s voters to put an X in his box en masse."

There is no justice

London's doing fine, still producing a third of UK GDP. Of course, it will collapse when all the non-doms leave.

That depends upon what you class as 'fine', Jno.  Yesterday I said poor Paris.  Today it's poor London.

Serious question.

Can you imagine what it'd be like if Susan Hall had been elected as Mayor of London?

No...just think about it for a moment.

London would be absolutely screwed. Mayor Khan is a tiny man, but Hall is a political aphid.

That whooshing sound you hear is London dodging an almighty bullet.

Hall needs to get herself to the Boris Johnson Home For Political Morons, and quick before all the rooms are taken.

The weather here in Sussex is crap.

The electric to our garage has died.

Our puppy has explosive diahorrea.

...but still this is the best weekend of the year so far!

Sp 1814 @ ......18.08.   Also @ 18.10  LOL

Always surprises me that the people who have the strongest feelings about Khan and other candidates don't actually live in London.

What a blow for London and the whole of the UK.

They can live near enough to be affected by the insanity nearby. Besides Khan has a habit of dictating to councils not strictly under his control, causes rows.
