If you submit a crossword by email (eg The Week), do you simply list the solutions or do you send in the completed grid as an attachment?
And how can they pick the "first correct solution to be opened" when they have both email and postal entries?
When there are multiple methods of entry, including a lot of postal entries, two draws are made. The first draw determines where the winning entry will come from ie post, email etc. The second draw is then picked from the entries from that method. In the case of the telly comps, where they have very few postal entries, all of the names from the postal entries are entered into a computer, along with the phone, red button, website entries and the computer picks one at random.
