I need a bit of help on two bits of this
13 across: It is found in stale bread removing crust, initially acceptable (4) _RMA
I can't find a word to fit this.
Also my thematic 14 words I have except for the right hand corner where I'm missing an 'E'. I think this may be something to do with the answer to 13 across being wrong!
Am I correct in the fact that the 14 cells starting at 1 are 'wavy'?
Also does the 'object' end up on the bottom line, thus leaving blank cells.
Sorry if I haven't been to clear in my questions but hopefully someone will understand and help me!

Re 13 Across- I think you've put the wrong answer in at 11 D. It should be the plant, not the bird. The correct answer will fix your 14 letter thing.
Yes, it is wavy.
I'm afraid I still haven't worked out HOW we end up with blank cells - any explanation of that would be welcome.

The thematic object that is falling down forms (roughly) that shape at the bottom ; the letters can be read through that shape. I've omitted them in my submitted answer.

Thank you Voulez-vous & Neveracrossword. What I have done is 'dumped' the item onto the bottom line, which has left blank cells, but proper words. Not sure if that is correct but it's the best solution I could think of!!!
