Is that the full clue moony?
One was answered recently that used sol backwards + s (square) = LOSS, is that it?
Why doesn't SOL fit?
Yes, I remember the LOSS one- LOS (SOL backwards) +S (for second, I recall)
Mmmnn. Perhaps it does.
Mmmnnn. Are you sure Sol doesn't fit.

I have 67d input "sees" for clue 'realise, grasp' and 68d as "gold" for ___ and myrhh gifts. Hence, 70a 3 letter spanish sun should fit between E and L. Thoughts/ideas?
could 67 be SUSS
I don't think your 'sees' is correct.
The clue would have read 'grasps, realises'
WHich of the 'e' s in sees is the crossing letter ?
For 67d, what letters did you have please?
I thought Spot but that doesn't fit with SOL
Are you sure about 67d as you are mixing tenses. see would fit realise and grasp, sees would be realises and grasps?
Suss seems okay

Thanks a million! Agree - "Suss" down and "Sol" acorss fits the bill. Cheers.
