On this cold January evening, Nungate Towers has again thrown open its doors to all Mad Over Fifties, and a warm welcome awaits within.
Tonight's hot plate special a warming beef casserole with dumplings, and on the pudding trolley apple crumble and custard, and of course the customary volly vonts and horses doovers are also be available.
In addition to their usual madrigals and fugues the Minstrels will be giving their take on Banarama's greatest hits! As we are still waiting for ice to form on the lake tonight's scheduled ice gala has been postponed and instead we have installed a small fun fair in the ballroom, with stalls and a carousel (wasn't easy getting that through the doors!)
Tonight's tailcock, "the Cats Pyjamas" is guaranteed to knock your socks off!
The Tapster has been working on it all week, and he has again set up a bar in the Great Hall.
I have no offerings for tonight's rofl as I have been dashing back and forth to hospital all week so I trust you will forgive me.
Welcome to all who dare enter these portals this evening

Queenie is fine DT, a bit tired that's all, been quite a week for her. The laser treatment didn't go too well and she needs one more round of it (they say) and she's been back and forth to see Grandma more or less every day
on the plus side, her bf is home for now so she's been out with him (I finally got to meet him - nice chap) Grandma, is a bit up and down, seems better one day but awful again the next, she's been on oxygen and antibiotics and is desperate to go home!
Here you go Tony. Bought some extra packets of tissues as I want to go to see the film of Les Miserables next week. Take a deep breath and try to smile. It's only a game. aaagh!
((dt)), you seem to have someone using a murder scene note as an avatar as a putative gf...
