I got stuck on 14down-Route (7letters), 24across-Inevitably(6letters), and 17across- Annoyed( 7letters)

It would certainly have helped if the letters which were placed were given at the start,for future reference maybe!!

I see this hasn't been cleared up.
I thought the first letter in the answer to Inevitably was the third letter (rather than the penultimate letter) in the answer to Route; but, as I think you suggest, shoota, it seems we're all confused now

and let us have any letters she already has placed for 14d, 24a and 17a

sorry to everyone, this crossword is very difficult to explain unless you see the grid. i think it would be clearer if there is someone who has a copy of the maturetimes-march- coffee time clues. who can try to explain it clearer.

cremonese, you are right that without the grid, this is becoming ever more entangled. This is my stab, but it does throw out one answer you seem sure of....
