I don't think I count as being at the 'younger' end of the spectrum, but I don't see/get any command yet. The only idea (probably laughable) I came up with involved a dance/game for children's parties. I have read 'well-aired if imprecise command' over and over again, hoping for ome form of enlightenment.
Thanks, boreas - that's a help. I've seen something in the grid, am away to work on that.
PS. I'd hate to ruin Inquisitor for anyone else, but I have found this site to be quite good for exchanging ideas, helping with bits and pieces. I wouldn't click on the post if I wanted to have the pleasure and satisfaction of doing Inquisitor (or any crossword) totally on my own.
Never,
I agree exactly with your PS.
I have looked back at other Inquisitor threads, and people give away far more answers than we have. I don't see how it's possible to have these discussions without giving something away - and isn't that the point? Maybe Mampara was just being tongue in cheek.
So, you have spotted the hidden word? That more or less gives it all away.
Will check a little bit later.
Yes, I'm all done now. I had one letter wrong, which affected what I was reading. I had another look, fixed that - and then checked out the apparently meaningless word.
I'm glad you too find the posts on this site helpful.
Boreas, I enjoyed the doing of this, but the theme leaves me slightly underwhelmed. I'm maybe too young (I wish) to appreciate the significance, worth of the subject - perhaps it was better than it sounds!
Hi Boreas
The first word of the clue to 41A has the misprint. It changes to past tense and is in Chambers meaning increased. Hope this helps. I would love some help with 11 and 13 please.
I finished this (with help from Boreas) at the weekend - I no longer have the paper, but might remember my answers if you gave the clues for 11 and 13.
Thanks Neveracrossword. When you said you'd finished this with Boreas I looked back at your other entries and, as I'd already found the moving letters and the first name it all clicked into place! Phew!
I agree with that PS too. I only look here once I'm really stuck, or if I've finished early and can help anyone else. It's fun to share!
