Any nautical types on here? Last evening, I posted a sort of a silly thread which included the picture of a sailing ship. It's quite a well known barque amongst sailing type people. Can anyone name it? Clue: Sir Arthur Guisness (the beer guy) once owned it. Just a little trivia...cheers.

i looked it up, just curious, i won't post the name, someone probably knows it.
Don't know what it was named, was it a clipper ?.

So it is stewey, I should read a bit more carefully.
she is still fabulous.. i love sailing ships, they had some of the tall ships down on the Thames, for the Queens Diamond jubilee, they were beautiful, and majestic.

Interesting, emmie. Pretty expensive though. Spoonboy; good eyes. Actually it's 1896, the year it was built.
i did say they were tall ships, but the whole flotilla was some 1,000 boats, some sight i can tell you
