Can't answer that one, but 13d & 25a clash (just like 1a & 2d). In the latter case I adopted a drastic "seasonal adjustment" so that both would fit together; here it won't work. Can you give me a slight hint about how you think it works? You've got my private e-mail address if you prefer not to explain publicly. Still don't have half the solutions, and mine must be off in about 4 hrs, otherwise it has no chance of getting there on time!

My problem, not having tumbled on the general trick yet, is that "hymn tune" & "fold up" clash,my solution to 25a too, so you're saying I need to see the relevance of 5a & 19d (both of which I have) for the whole first? At the moment getting nowhere fast, and am maybe more in a hurry than you, as I live abroad & last post goes in about 3 hrs! So any slight hint would be welcome.......................
