Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Problem with 15D.
I have made a grid entry that follows the preamble requirements.But it doesn't seem to be a real word. I have looked it up in Chambers and even googled it, but no luck.
Anyone solved this?

Boreas, it sounds as if you have the same as me. However, I have another similar word/thing (at 5 D) and I realised the preamble says only 'the grid entry is derived from...by the omission...' I thought this indicated, perhaps, that those grid entries might not be real words. The other two affected answers do result in real words.

Yes, same at 5D. I'd forgotten that. Can't find that either as a real word.
Bit odd, because as you say in the other two cases it end up with real words.
Lovely puzzle, but this spoils it a little - unless someone else can explain.

It might just be wishful thinking on my part! Then again, the Animal Farm one didn't say we would end up with non-words -and we did.
