24 across: An advantage over in America _G_I_
I'm sure it should be "again" but I din't understand the wordplay!

The only thing I can see is that AGAIN reversed is NIAGA (the start (reversed/over) of Niagara Falls....
Can't see where America fits, but advantage = a gain and over = again.
an advantage = A GAIN

and 'over' can mean again - probably used in this sense more often in USA than here
Agree - as in the Americanism "start over" for "start again"
