Teachers got engaged, both female. They wear 'promise' rings (diamond & sapphire) on wedding finger. Theyre both lovely girls & plan to have their wedding here.

How do the legalities work?

Well I am 60 (not old) but have lived and my whole life I have accepted that the world is full of different types - that is what makes it so very rich and varied.

plan to have their wedding here , where ?
Question Author
On my lawn, with marqee etc.
Don't quote me on it but I think to have a wedding ceremony on private property you need to get a licence fron the local LA and it can't be for just one wedding, it has to be open to future bookings.

I don't know why I think this but I ink it has something to do with Sarah Beeney when she opened a wedding venue.

If thats so rr, it will just be the reception.
Easiest thing to do is have a quiet civil ceremony to deal with the legal bit then a public promise ceremony and celebration anywhere they like. Do they want input from a minister of religion?
Hi, Tambo...if it's a humanist ceremony you can hold it in your garden after going to the register office to do the paperwork.

Jordyboy9, would you be happy to have a straight teacher who had a different partner every week teaching your child? During a long teaching career, I don't think I ever discussed my private life with my pupils. Why do parents and/or others think they have the right to interfere in teachers' lives? How many of the parents who do so are perfect?
Jordy..that is a terribly ignorant answer to Tambo's question...you should be ashamed if you have children and are bringing them up with that attitude.

Tambo - that sounds lovely, hope the day is fine and bright for the proceedings.

Jordy, what an outdated attitude do you always think of people having sex first and foremost? How odd.
Wow!

Then why are you thinking of what they get up to, Jordy? That's a bad and questionable problem you have....

Sorry, Tambo...I have just returned from a wedding where two of the guests were married female teachers...one my niece....I was at their wonderful wedding.
Brilliant and respected teachers and lovely girls to be proud of...so ignorant comments rile me a tad.

I sure as hell don't agree with you Jordy.

I'm quite stunned that there are people who still hold these beliefs and share them :-(

I don't agree with you jordy, but some people do feel the same as you. and I doubt you will alter your views .
Personally I dont give a rats bottom what goes on behind closed doors, if 2 people love each other thats all that matters, no matter what their gender. I tell our 2 daughters this too. Lifes too short to worry about what others think, esp when its not their business. I hope they have a lovely day surrounded by the people that are important to them.
Stop using old as your excuse.....my aunts are old....I'm getting on...but we're a darn sight more pleasant than you....mostly...
You, with that awful attitude towards people, are the sort who wouldn't be let near my children.
