Welcome. I'm going with usedup as I'm sure the ST have done this before when it's actually 2 words.
When a compound adjective like WASHED OUT or USED UP is used prenominally, it would be hyphenated, as in 'I lamented my used-up time spent doing Paul McKenna's crosswords'; so since barred cryptics treat hyphenated words as single words for length-indicating purposes (another example!), '(6)' is probably just about ok...just about. The word play, US+ED+UP, certainly confirms the solution.
