Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I think 1a 'sudden start' must be bang so that would make 4d gree - is there such a word?

Don't want to sound thick but what does IMO stand for? I had literally worn out three copies of roget's before my son found the answer bank for me - best thing he ever did!

Margo, you're not thick! All of us had to learn the abbreviations - I'd put money on most people thinking 'LOL' meant "Lots Of Love" at first :-)

Best price I can find for Chambers (13th Edition), which is the most recent is £35.19 on Amazon. I'm still on the 12th edition & have never paid more than £20.00 for a copy - waiting a while means the newest version will come down in price - I usually go to "British Bookshops" ("Sussex Stationers" - at least that's their name in Lewes!)

If you really want one, have a hunt round the Net & find the price/edition that suits you - an older Chambers will only be missing new words/phrases since its inception & should still see you right (I wouldn't go back further than the 11th edition personally) :-)
