Having said that, the Express Big Monday £1,000 crossword did something similar last year, where they coloured in some of the squares, the letters of which could then be arranged into a word. You could then just phone or text this word, or send the completed grid in. I continued to send the grid in as before.....and won! So it's possible, but I'd still like to know how they collate the entries.
Just wondering, I do this xword and sometimes if I'm distracted make an error in filling in a clue. So that ruins any chance of sending it in correctly, now it seems that just counting a few letters will suffice. So will we be getting the number of letters counted and required now to submit by about 9 am every Sunday by the Brains?
