not sure of the parsing of two solutions - 1 down Axe; that is to say strike - I have S(C)R(A)P and 24 across Do time; calm at first E(R)E(C)T I get the C T and First (ere) but not the Do - enlightenment please!!

I got that bit but it is the DO I don't get - erect is build - have never heard it used as a synonym for do!!
