I like it, Capt. Been doing the Saturday prize one since I was a youngster...22/23 years of age. I found today's a bit of a challenge, though.
It depends very much on the compiler, I think.
I'm still not very good at them but I do try. I found it very relaxing, when I was at work. I would completely switch off and lose myself in the crossword at the weekend. It was a life-saver, I think. Now it's not quite so important.
Looking back Tilly to your post at 21:36 I'm just wondering how many of today's youngsters actually buy a paper ? Preferring instead to get any news on twitter or facebook !!!
I'm not one of your errr youngster Sam,but I stopped buying thr Torygraph on a daily basis when it hit 80p. (Bit expensive just for the crossword and sports).
Now get my DT Xword online (fraction of the cost) and, like biblebub a couple of weeks ago, any free crossword I can find online, and there are quite a few.
