I'm getting there! But need to know if the 'observation' continues in the down clues (if so I've made some mistakes) and I'm having difficulties with which are the extra words in 6, 22, 26 & 28 down.
Also are these right for 2down PC, 3 down MN, 4 down MN? (all I need to know is which one is wrong)

Yes, the observation goes into the Downs.
in 3 Down, the letters HP
In 2 Down, IT
In 4 Down, OE.
