I feel really stupid asking this question.I subscribe to The Sunday Times and would like to submit my cryptic crossword for the competition online.In the paper it says email [email protected] exactly do I do this? I have tried to email this address and nothing happens.What am I doing wrong? Many thanks for help.

I believe if you have a full subscription - paper and digital copy - you are inhibited from submitting a crossword via email. I assume this is to stop multiple solutions - email and paper versions - being handed in from a single subscriber. (I repeat this is my interpretation, I've not seen anything in writing to confirm this.)
