16) Down. Does anybody know if they are accepting "WAR HORSE" i.e. the length should have been (3,5) not (4,6)???

I don't know for certain but am sure they will.
I've put War Horse. It's all that fits and it was published in the year specified. They messed up the Sat. GK as well with not enough spaces for 'Greenland' (which is definitely the right answer).
jourdain2 - that clue on Saturday was -

The answer is the Danish name - Gronland
