As usual I'm completely befuddled!
I assume the supplementary clues don't go in the shaded squares?
I have the second row shaded squares nearly complete C?IMES?? but can make no sense of it.
Where do the 'answers' of the supplementary clues go?
Gosh, I'm stuck!!
Any help gratefully received!

The answers to the supplementary squares don't go anywhere ... they are just confirmation of your answers in the shaded squares.

The word that is omitted from the 7 unclued entries goes after chimes at.....(sometimes the omitted word comes in the middle e.g.down clue in col 1 which is split 2,3,4.)

When you have the 7 unclued ... put them in alphabetical order ... then as a check look at the supp clues. In each one there is a jumble of letters of " someone who is connected with the film/book/song". You don't actually need them for the crossword but they do give confirmation for your 7 answers
