I've got 18 of the additional letters - but can make no sense of them ( they possibly include 'names' & 'ships' ?) I have all all the grid filled in except 15 across: Cleric's stimulus absorbs Queen (4) C?RE
But, this is where I need help I cannot find any names (except Jasper) or the title.
Can someone help me as I'm going boggle-eyed?
Thank you dannyk13 & Neveracrossword. But I'm still no wiser as to the top and bottom lines or the four names & title. Please could you give me more hints?
Ripper, if you've got much of the grid filled in, look upwards, diagonally from a letter in 31 A. This gives you the 'title' and should help with the names. If you haven't got enough filled in, come back!
Ripper, glad that helped - I wasn't sure what stage you were at. The names and the extra stuff from the 21 clues gets slotted into the top and bottom rows. I quite enjoyed working out how to do that and make real words at the same time.
Neveracrossword - Oh dear I thought I'd be looking for J P G & R, obviously not!
I've looked at the tracks and can't find Maxwell or Pam.
Time to go to the pub for a big think (that's my excuse!)
Ripper, you ARE looking for those - but only one name fits in as it is. The other go in, but the names are included in real words - for example, you could be 'trippers'. I know you had most of the letters needed, you maybe have them all now.
At 6.30 this morning (!) I finally found J P G & R and have sorted out the bottom row. But, with the additional letters I've got the first three words and then 6 of the other letters, now I know that these are all single letters with commas between them & they fit in the top and bottom rows. My problem is I can't make a word following the first name on the left hand side of the top row. The last 3 letters I think should be ? then E or O then L or P or R.
Hope this makes sense!!!!
Ripper, glad you soldiered on! For that last word (well, it's two words really) you need a letter from 26 D then the O and the P you mentioned...and in that order. It's in Chambers, under the J... entry.
Thank you Neveracrossword, I was looking for a 7 letter word, which is why I was stumped.
Well that's a few more new words I've learnt!!
Thank you again.
