Trot supporting Labour.
Answer “child bearing”
Should this be “tot” not “trot” or am I missing some definition of “trot”?

I assumed that it was a misprint Bozzer. Would be nice to know for sure.
Looks like it should be tot which would them parse.
Chambers has -

trot - ...a toddling child (inf)
Collins also has it (I'd not bothered to check further) -

Lie-in King to the rescue as always! Thank you. I looked in my online dictionary because Chambers was on the shelf next door. Mistake. It’s a bit recondite even so. Where is it used colloquially I wonder? Anyone know? Not in my NW/Fenland/SE/SW experience. St Kilda maybe?
Glad I could help :-)
'Trot' (or 'trottie') is a Victorian/Edwardian colloquialism, I believe, which rapidly fell into disuse during first half of the last century.
