Well done.Always nice to hear of winners.
Nice one, ael! :-)
Great
Me too, ael! Couple of weeks ago, and received the dictionary and thesaurus (disappointingly small paperbacks) last week. Also won the Sunday Times gold pen just before Christmas - still waiting for a MOS win, must have spent a fortune on postage these past years....

Well done aelmpvw and also brainiac.
Another "nice one!" for brainiac :-)
Congrats Ael and Brainiac!
Well done Brainiac.
Well done aelmpvw! We won the GK about 5 years ago and keep on trying, but I'm thrilled that last year I got a runners-up notebook and pen for the cryptic. MrJ2 asks me why I don't use them! As if!

Know what you mean, I have four Telegraph fountain pens all unused.
I have one of those, too, danny, though I do use it from time to time. I gave the recent gold ST one to my friend's grandson, who was delighted - boys these days don't get fountain pens any more, it seems, not like back in our day. I think I used to have certain homework that had to be written in fountain pen :)

When I was at school ball pens weren't around so it was always a fountain pen.
I remember just holes in the desks where the ink wells would have been!
Inkwells and blotting paper, those were the days.
Blimey, blotting paper....I wonder if you can still buy some
