73 Garden pea
12 Mona Lisa
34d.Hadrians Wall - anagram of awards in hall
12.Mons Lisa - Mon(day) + ali(boxer) + a
Question Author
Thanks for those quick replies! I've had every kind of pea except a garden pea, wouldn't have got Mona Lisa and missed that anagram! I'd nearly given up on this crossword but will persevere.
Sorry Lynne, should have scrolled.
It's OK, I should have parsed it.

Mon Ali's a
37, Fanatical - fan(nut) + (V)atica(n) + l(large)
Question Author
Just got 37d (the M was wrong), it's Fanatical

Thanks dannyk13 for explanation(s). I've missed one clue 88d Wooded area starts to turn arid in golden age (5) ??I?A
Taiga- initial letters in clue.
Have you got 72d, if not any more letters?
72 Oilcloths

Clot H in Oils
Question Author
Thanks Mamyalynne (and dannyk13 again), your answers and explanations have been greatly appreciated. Honestly last 2 clues and I'll be running (well possibly sliding!) to the postbox! 71a Organised it, but as minor player (12) T?A?O?R?N?G? (not sure about A) and 87a Recalled member, popular man (5) N?G?L (Nigel - why?) (Not sure about G)
Nigel - leg (member) & in (popular) all reversed
71a, Tambourinist- anagram of it but as minor.
Question Author
Brilliant answers dannyk13 - another anagram I'd missed and I don't need to keep trying to think of a popular Nigel! Only thing is Tambourinist has made answer to 73d Garden pea wrong. It now has to start with S. It's S?R?E? P?A. I've really appreciated your help (and tuition!)
STRING PEA
Question Author
Thanks ProfessorMaisie, I did wonder about string pea as you get string beans! Anyway the crossword is posted with fingers crossed!
Good luck May54.
