This is always so easy but wonder if there is a mistake. "Frail, weak" (6) T - - M - Y. I am sure the letters are right. Any ideas or has anybody else done it?

flimsy works if the T is wrong.
Flimsy - if the 't' is wrong.
What is the clue giving the 't'?
Question Author
The clue leading to the T is "bungling, awkward" (5) I put inept and once again I am sure the letters are right although flimsy seems perfect.
Fluff?
Gawky?
Ignore my post.
Question Author
Neither fluff or gawky can be right. The "I" from inept is in the word cyanide (poisonous chemical) and the "E" from inept is in the word enrage (make angry). Most annoying - I think they must have made a mistake!
Would 'maddens' instead of enrages make a difference?
Thumby
Well done Patsy. That's a new one for me.
Excellent word but it matches the wrong clue.

Hope it's right! :-)
Stiff for awkward?
danny - I'd buy that.
Question Author
Thanks for all your help guys but I am sure they have messed up. Flimsy is great as is stiff but it means about 6 other answers are wrong. Poisonous chemical has to be cyanide which rules out stiff. This means that the 5 letter word meaning bungling, awkward has to begin with I. If flimsy is right then the bungling word would be I - - - F and I can't think of any word that fits.
Certainly looks like they have erred.
Patsy had it above - thumby
Thumby is an excellent answer but doesn't mean frail or weak.

It means bungling or awkward.
Question Author
But thumby doesn't mean frail, weak surely? In fact it has a rather rude meaning!
