Fortunately not. Grid qickly filled, but I enjoyed some excellent clues. I admire setters that can set easy clues that are still interesting (because of cryptic construction and/or surface).
The first item leapt out at me, the rest took some methodical searching.

Later than usual starting this due to being very busy – almost a novelty for me these days of retirement. Hedge-sparrow is a favourite setter of mine too, who never fails to entertain. I am very pleased he set us an easy one given how much sport needs watching.
Proof, if needed, that easy puzzles can be really enjoyable.
