Never had a go at the EV. Not even sure which tabloid it is from.
But I believe that it is usually a thematic crossword. So more info is usually required to complete it.
Hence, I don't normally comment on the threads. But I do look in on them to try and understand the form of annotation.
And usually I do not understand as there are special instructions in the preamble.
