Klazo, Tilly2 has posted on other threads recently. Like you, she's fairly new to the Spectator puzzles. I think she found a recent one quite tough and said she was going to leave it, maybe this week's just didn't appeal?

Oh yes, Matakari will continue to get loads of help on AB, and it doesn't really matter that it's taken him years to get this far!
Thanks NAC. Good to hear She is ok. :-)
Klazo, I've just remembered a little something. You agreed with the Shend at 43 and said it had to be that 'because of the crossers' - but the last letter, the troublesome one, didn't cross anything.
Mea Culpa NAC.

Indeed, It doesn't have a crosser. (just had a look)
Probably a little weary after I had got in last night ;-)

In the post would mean 'Sent'

But as the clue states 'In post, Henry's disgrace'

So it has to be In(side) post (which would denote) Send (One would put the 'H')
Thanks, Klazo. Yes, Scorpio ( a crossword whizz!) parsed it like that early on Friday evening, but Solidair popped along later to suggest the alternative Shent.
:-)
Scorpiojo, your invisible days are behind you now, and I think you deserve to be a leading light!
Lol...thank you, NAC :-)
Couldn't agree more NAC. I've known Scorpio for many years now (Over two diffent sites) And She truly is a whizz with the Crosswords. :-)
Youhoo! I'm here.
I'm stuck on 3d. I have Dorr because of the crossers.

22ac Is I?L?LE and I can't find anything to fit.

I have the theme and the rest of it but those two are giving me a headache.

Thanks for your concern, Klaz. I appreciate that.
D Or r works
Illipe

ILL I PE

i'm going = i'll [to] PE [around one] I

Dorr is correct
Medic = DR
Gold = OR
D OR R Beetle

Good to hear from you Tilly. and glad you didn't give up :-)
You're very kind, Klaz :-)
Thanks, Klazo, glad you're well acquainted with Scorpiojo.
Tilly2, glad to see you - glad to see you getting on well with this one.
Scorpiojo, the invisibility cloak appears to have ... disappeared over the last year or so. Good riddance!
Tilly, Dorr is an alternative spelling of Dor (the dung beetle)

Scorpio, I'm just stating facts :-)
You will now me under a different pseudonym on the other site (I haven't visited that one in quite some time) And my Name here was changed about 5 years ago. But i've been a member here for almost 13 years now.
You used to help me when I first set out as a Cruciverbalist (along with L-I-K, Mamya, Bibblebub and Zhukov)
:-)
Sorry NAC, I really should refresh before I post. :-)
Ah, I don't visit the other site very often either. Should I ask who you are over there? It's hard to believe I've been here almost 10 years now

Good evening, Klazo and NACW, just got this one and thought I might share with you. It looks like a real challenge, only reading the preamble! And the bar seems high, indeed!

Matakari, thanks. I've had a look, it seems way beyond my capabilities! I know you've attempted many of the puzzles from that site, let us know how you get on with this one...

"Way beyond my capabilities!" you say about yourself, no I do not believe it, I know you to be a champion of solvers! This site probably does not appeal to you?
I would like to know what Klazo thinks about it.
