my pound coin was only a guess-kaya probably correct

Pound coin would fit with note replacement. Coin could be to forge. Not sure about this one now.
I reckon Pound Coin (which replaced the Pound Note)

. . . . Pound = Hammer
. . . . Coin (verb) = to Forge / Counterfeit
